π Link: The Beatles to make a one-song comeback with AI. Paul McCartney has used AI to incorporate vocals from a 1980s demo of John Lennon discovered after his death. McCartney says the AI is both "scary" and "exciting".
π Link: AI algorithms find drugs that could combat ageing. These drugs can selectively eliminate age-related, defective cells without harming healthy ones. This is significantly more affordable and quicker than conventional methods.
π Link: The European Union heads toward passing the first significant laws to regulate artificial intelligence. Iβm concerned this could lead to the EU lagging further behind in the tech arena. Perhaps a move to the US might be timely?

π Link: Meta's MusicGen is changing the game for soundtrack creation. You simply describe the desired music, hit generate, and out comes a custom 12-second track from this 'ChatGPT for music'.
π Link: Google Lens now offers a new feature to identify potential skin conditions. By uploading a photo, users search for similar skin issues, helping with self-diagnosis.
π Link: Microsoft AI has launched Orca, a 13 billion parameter model that learns to imitate the reasoning process of Large Foundation Models. This is a serious breakthrough in advancing instruction-tuned models.

π Link: Mistral AI has secured a historic seed round of $113M at a $260M valuation to take on OpenAI. Just four weeks old with roots in Google's DeepMind and Meta, they're preparing to debut their inaugural text-generating AI models in 2024.
π Link: Synthesia secures $90M in funding for its custom avatar-creating AI. The Series C round, led by Accel with participation from Nvidia brings Synthesia's valuation to $1 billion.
π Link: Accenture invests $3 billion in AI to develop AI-centered solutions for its clients. They will double the size of their Data & AI team from 40,000 to 80,000 employees π€―.
